About Me

Tommie Brown

I was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, and have spent much of my career serving the community through work with schools and various social service agencies. These experiences have allowed me to work alongside individuals and families from many different backgrounds and life experiences.

Growing up, conversations about mental health and therapy were largely nonexistent within my culture. Looking back, I can now see the ways mental health challenges impacted both myself and those around me. Those reflections, combined with my professional experiences, have helped shape my understanding of the importance of accessible and supportive mental health care.

Working with diverse populations has strengthened my passion for increasing access to mental health services and creating spaces where individuals feel heard, respected, and supported. My goal is to provide counseling that recognizes the whole person—honoring each client’s experiences, culture, and personal journey toward growth and well-being.
